The Days I Spent at the Hospital

It is a 62-page picture book based on my childhood. Because my mom was a nurse, I spent a lot of after-school time in the hospital, a place most people would not like. But for me, it was a place where I had precious childhood memories. Syringes and stethoscopes were my toys, the hospital garden and boiler room were my playground. I saw doctors and nurses working hard to cure patients and felt other people's sorrows and joys. Most importantly, I began to understand love and death. It's a journey of memories filled with my mom's love.

All pieces are done by gouache and colored pencil on paper, spread size: 18 x 12 inches.
